COMEDY FILMS

Office Space:

Summary: Office Space was written and directed by Mike Judge. (The creator of Beavis and butthead and King of the Hill.) It is about a man named Peter Gibbins who works in a cubicle filling out TPS reports all day. He has a bad attitude about work and never smiles. His boss Bill lumbergh is a complete dick and says "yeah" before he says anything in a sarcastic tone. Peter gets caught in traffic on his way to work everyday. He honestly just hates his job and his life. He lives next door to an awesome guy who can talk to him thorugh the wall because the wall is so thin. He always tells him to turn to a channel where a girls boobs are showing on T.V. Peters girlfriend wants him to get hipnotized so that he can be happy and be stress free. As he was getting hipnotized the hipnotist died after he counted the three. He wakes up refreshed and happy. He has no worry in the world. He decides to not go to work anymore. He doesn't quit or get fired. He just doesn't show up. Somehow when the two consultants (Bill and Bill) show up, Peter walks in to his interview with flipflops and a hawaiian shirt on. They decide to move him to upper-managment. He is confused because he has been an awful employee for the past few weeks and they are giving him a raise and a bigger office. He works with a couple of cool guys named Micheal Bolton and Samir Nagheenanajar who are softwere engineers for the company. Micheal gets pissed off because he is named after a famous guy and everyone thinks he is related to him. He thinks he is black and listens to gangster rap. (Really he is a pussy). Samir and Micheal have a faz machine that always jams for no reason and they always yell at it and punch it. So when they get fired Peter, Samir and Micheal take the machine and beat the crap out of it with baseball bats and stomp on it; its aobut a three minute scene of them killing this machine. Another guy he works with is Milton. Milton is a really quiet guy throughout the entire movie. He has been working there for five years but he got fired last year but he still shows up and complains about his paycheck not coming in the mail. Bill always makes him move his desk every few days or so. Milton loves his red stapler, its like his best friend and Bill takes it away and throughout the entire movie Milton mumbles under his breathe "im going to burn the building down." he says it about five times. In the end Peter and Samir and Micheal decide to steal three cents from the companies bank account everyday and withing a few years they will be millionaires. Micheal hacked the system and put in three cents perday. The nextday the check how much they got over night. They had got 300,000$ from the companies account. Micheal put the decimal in the wrong spot. Then when they go to give the money back to the company it was on fire. The building burned down to a pile of rubble. Milton did it but the movie never says he did. Milton was never seen again. In the end Peter works with his neighbor and lives life without a worry.

Personal Opinion: Office Space is Halarious. The summary of the movie might not sound very funny but it is super funny. I was laughing the entire time. Getting to know the characters and their personalities was the most fun. They each had something funny about them and had something funny to say. This movie really expresses the daily life for most americans in the working world. They have a dick for a boss, get stuck in traffic, hate the old out dated fax machines and gets ridiculed for doing something wrong. The most funny thing about the whole movie I think is that milton was fired a year ago but he still shows up thinking he has the job but he isn't recieving a paycheck. And for the faxt the Bill has Milton move his desk to the basement of the building and all around the building for no reason. I can tell that as im explaining this movie it doesn't seem that funny but office space is a CLASSIC comedy film that everybody must see. You will laugh guarunteed.
In the end I reccomend this movie to anybody who is in the mood for a good laugh. Everyone can relate to this movie no matter what age. It will crack you up.

Super Troopers

Summary: Super Troopers, directed and written by Jay Chandrasekhar was a 2001 best seller. Basically what this movie is about is five cops that mess with people. They pull them over and after they are already pulled over they tell them to pull over. All they really do is play games and get themselves into trouble. It starts off with three stoners in a car smoking weed and taking Shrooms. They are talking about stupid stoner stuff. The cops (Officer Thorny and Officer Rabbit) pull beside the teens and stare them down. One of the kids in the front throws a bag of weed to the kid in the back and tells him to eat it. He eats it and then he throws back a whole bag of mushrooms, which he then eats as well. You can only imagine how high this kid will be. Then he asks him to eat another bag but he tell his to throw it out the window. Right as he drops the bag from the window Thorny slams on the breaks and gets behind them and starts blaring the siren. When they pull over Thorny drives past them really fast and acts like they were never going to pull them over. The kids begin to freak the hell out. All of the sudden the Throny is parked behind them. Then for the kids punishment for littering Thorny told them they had to smoke the whole bag in front of them. Later they pull a guy over and the game they decide to play is the "Meow" game. So everytime he is supposed to say now he replaces it with meow. His goal was to reach ten meows. He does it and the driver get really confused. The five highway police (Thorny, Rabbit, Foster, Mac and Farva) hate the local cops and always get into fists fights with them over pointless stuff. Then they pull over a huge semi-truck and in the back is full of marijuana which they capture and then get an award for. Then they get a letter saying they are going to get shut down unless they start pulling more people over and start making more drug busts. At the end of the movie they get shut down and it cuts scenes to a beer company and Thorny and Rabbit get out and they are delivering a Keg to a house party. The teens from the beginning open the door and they freak out and start running away but they then explain that they are the keg people. Then the teens start messing with them saying we want the keg in that corner but then when they set it down they told them to put it somewhere else. After countless times of messing with them Thorny looks at Rabbit and says are you ready? and Rabbit says Yep! they Rip off the beer uniform and they are in the local cop uniforms and yell SPUBERRY police and the teens get handcuffed. The real local cops get busted for being part of the drug transportation. They were working with the drug people. So the highway police got their jobs. The cops start partying with the kids and drinking alcohol. It is halarious.

Personal Opinion: Super Troopers is one of my favorite comedies. From my summaries they may not seem very funny but it is super funny. The cops are just dicks to people and mess around all day. It is a very volger film with unsuitable language for kids. It is so unrealistic of how cops would act but its cool to see how it would be if cops were really like that. The things that they say are so funny that you will cry of laughter in this film several times. The acting was great in this movie along with really funny scenes and lines. The characters were really detailed and always said something funny. It is just a bunch of friends that are cops messing with people for fun.
Overall, I highly reccomend this movie to people that have a good sense of humor and are over the age of 13.

The Breakfast Club:

Summary: The Breakfast Club is an all time classic directed by John Hughes in 1985. This is more of a Romantic Comedy but its a movie that has to be watched. What happens in this film is five high school teenagers have to attend saturday school all day becasue of something they got in trouble for during the past week. The five teens are, Bender, Andrew, Brian, Allison and Claire. Bender is just a straight up trouble maker and pot head. His father beats him and he doesn't have a mom. He is a poor teen with neglectful parents. That tells you a little bit about why he is the way he is. He disrespects adults and disrespects other students. He is a bully. He is in saturday school for countless reasons. Andrew is a jock. He is a varsity wrestler and sports star. He has a lot of friends but he doesn't like his home life. His father hates him and he only likes him if he Wins. His father always tells him to WIN, WIN, WIN. and if he doesn't win, he doesn't consider him his son. Andrew is in saturday school because he bullied a kid because of peer pressure. He made the kid cry and he told on him. Brian is a nerd/geek. He has straight A's and if he gets any lower grades his dad/parents will disown him. He is in saturday school becasue he brought a flare gun to school and then it went off in his locker. Claire is an extremely popular red headed girl with a high fashion sense. Her home life is great but she thinks its not. She is in saturday school because she skipped class to go on a shopping spree. Allison is just a basket case. She has no friends and has bad grades. She has a ton of dandruff that she needs to fix. She is at satuday school because she had nothing better to do. Those are the five characters of this movie. They are all assigned to write a paper of why they are there and what they will do to prevent it from happening next time. But they all decide to have Brian write all the papers for them because they are all to lazy to write it themselves. During the movie Bender messes with the teacher in charge and calls him a dick and stuff. All that really happens in this movie is they discuss their homelives and complain the whole time. They sneak out of the room to go to Benders locker to get something. Bender gets a big bag of weed and Brian freaks out and disapproves. Then they are trying to get back to the class room but the teacher is walking around the school back to the room that are supposed to be in. They sprint down all the hallways and every turn they take the teacher is right there. So in order for them to get there without getting caught. Bender shoves the pot down Brians underwear and Bender takes off singing "I WANNA BE AN AIRFORCE RANGER!" really lod and the teacher went running after him. They got there safely and then Bender comes back and smart mouths the teacher again. When the teacher goes out of the room, Bender takes gteh weed and goes up to the top floor of the room and starts to lite up a joint. One by one they all follow after him. Brian got peer pressured into going. They all got stoned and danced around. **SPOILER ALERT** eventually Bender and Claire hood up and start to like each other. Allison and Andrew hook up and like each other becasue Claire gave her a make over. Brian was by himself and wrote one big paper for all five of them. They left and they kissed goodbye. You could tell that they liked eachother and they were going to be freidns after one day of satuday school.

Personal Opinion: The Breakfast Club us a must see. It is a full on classic movie. Molly Ringwald played Claire and she plays in a bunch of classic movies like Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink and more including the breakfast club. She is a great actor and always will be. The acting in this film was average. It seemed real and easy to follow. It was a Romantic Comedy rather than just a Comedy. I highly reccomend this movie to everybody of all ages. There is some bad language but it is a great movie. The movie made you feel happy and it kind of made you want to go to satuday school. Also i liked to see how different things were in the 80's for high school compared to how it is today.
In the end this is a must see movie with great actors and actresses. I have seen this movie countless times and it doesn't lose any value each time i watch it.

Step Brothers:

Summary: Step Brothers was a 2008 comedy starring will ferrel and John Reilly. Directed by Adam McKay a comedy director. Right when this movie came out it was an instand hit. It blew the box office away on opening weekend. It was voted americas funniest movie of 2008. It was about two 40 year old men that still lived with their parents. Dale lived with his dad and Brenan who still lived with his mom. The mom and dad met and got married. At first Dale and Brenan hated each other. They didnt know what to think about having a step brother. Dale thinks he is in complete control and tell s him to never touch his things, especially not his drum set. Brenan claims to be the worlds best singer. He hasn't sang since his younger brother Derek sang "Brenan has a mangina" in front of the whole school. Mean while they started beating the crap out of eachother becasue Brenan put his ball sack on his drum set. Dale got pissed off and they started beating eachother up with pieces of the drum set. They knocked eachother out with a baseball bat and a golf club at the same time. The parents rished home and were freraking out on what the hell just happened. After they woke up they became sort of friends and were getting along. After they realize that they have a lot in common they become best friends. They start to have a dream of opening a music business named Prestiege worldwide. So they make a music video to promote the company and they borrow dales dads boat. They make a disturbing music video with vloger language and naked chicks. When they get distracted they boat slams into tyhe rocks and the boat gets completely destroyed. The parents break up and dale and brenan move into their own houses. They start acting their age instead of acting ten years old. **SPOILER ALERT** At the end of the movie brenan set up the catalina wine mixer for his job. He hired dales catering company and they invited both their parents. This was all their plan to get them back together. It worked by the band that was playng "Uptown girl" got booed off of the stage. Dale played the drums and Brenan played a song that made every body fall in love. The parents got back together and they all moved back in together. It was a happy ending

Personal Opinion: Step brotyhers is a halarious movie that i reccomend to people over the age of 15. I found myself cracking up through the entire movie. I have seen it several times and no matter how many times i see it I laugh really hard. This is a classic funny movie that needs to be seen by everyone. No matter what mood your in Step brothers will make you laugh. Acting in this film was great as usual with will ferrel.
Overall i loved this movie and i highly reccomend this to everybody.

The Dictator:

Summary: The dictator was directed by Larry Charles and written by Sacha Cohen himself. Sacha is the main character in this film playing the role of "The Dictator." He has written three Comedy movies total. Borat, Bruno and now The Dictator. In this movie he plays as Admeral General Aladeen. He is the Leader of Wadiya (A middle eastern country). He is sent to make a speech with the UN about his Nuclear plans. When he is kidnapped and shaved from his symbolic beard, they have a Aladeen double to go to the UN. The double is told to give the speech that he will write a new constitution and become a Democracy country. When the real Aladeen finds this out he goes nuts. He finds his old friend from Wadiya and he helps him get into the hotel where double aladeen is staying. In order to do that he had to get a job at the resturaunt that is catering the event. He changes completely in the process. He falls in love and becomes kind of sensitive. Either way he bnreaks into the hotel and kills his double by telling him to jump out the window. **SPOILER ALERT** When he is getting ready to sign the constitution that would put Wadiya a democracy he stands up and rips the constitution in half. He starts explaining how dictatorship is so great. By explaining that the rich get incredibly richer by lowered tax money and the poor become worthless. Also he describes how it is living as the leader of Wadiya. He then starts describing dictatorship as a woman. He starts saying that she is beautiful and has armpit hair. She has an amazing body but could lose five pounds. Also he says he is strangly in love with dictatorship. When really he is describing a girl he fell in love with while he was working for the catering store. She falls in love with him back. In the end they both move back to Wadiya and they decide to get married. When they kiss she stomps on a glass. People from a Jewish background do this. Aladeen hates jewish people and when he hugs her he uses his finger and moves it back and fourth which stands for the person he is doing it to, to then be executed.

Personal Opinion: Sacha Cohen has been one of my favorite actors and movie writers since he wrote the film Borat. He is simply halarious. Although this movie was NOT as good as i had hoped. It had some funny scenes and funny lines throughout the entire movie. I only acutally really laughed once or twice. The other times i kind of giggled and moved on. He says some funny things that make you laugh the whole time but its nothing super funny or memorable. I was disappointed with the lack of comedy in the movie. Compared to Borat it was barly funny. Personally i think Sacha Cohen needs to be done writing films because he is lacking the humor that he needs like in Borat.
Over all it was a pretty good and funny film. I dont think you should waste your time watching it in theatres. Wait for DVD and watch it at your house with a bunch of your friends. I assume it would be funnier with all of your friends because you will feed off of eachothers laughter. I recommend this film to every Sacha Cohen fan because i feel that it is Necassary to see all of his movies.

The Shawshank Redemption

Summary: The Shawshank Redemption directed by Frank Darabont and written by Stephen King was a work of art. Three hours and 14 minutes of pure perfection. It begins with Andy Dufresne in court. He is getting blamed for the muder of his ex-wife and a golf pro. He was framed and guilty for this crime. He is then sent to Shawshank Prison in Maine which is the most heavily guarded and extremely strict prison in the nation. Andy is very shy and is not used to the prison life. He meets a man named Red (Morgan Freeman). They become good friends throughout the entire movie. Red is the kind of guy who can get stuff into the prison like cigarttes, posters or even knives. Andy is really into geology and carving things out of rocks. He asks red if he can get a poster of Rita Hayworth and a small pick axe. Red does as asked and he gets him his things. He carved his name into the wall and a huge chunk of cement crubled in his finger tips. He realized that the wall was sandstone rock and easy to carve into. Andy starts doing things for the warden and he gets on his good side. Andy starts doing his bank paperwork becasue Andy was a banker before he was sent to prison. All the guards started to really like Andy. A new guy came to the prison from another one. He was telling stories of a man at his old prison that killed a woman and a golf pro. Red was going to tell Andy but Red told the guy to tell the warden what had happened. He did as Red asked and the Warden ordered the guards to shoot him to death. Later in the paper he said that he was trying to escape; that is why he was shot and killed. 20 years had passed and Andy started to give up. He was used to the same old rutine of cleaning the wardens shoes and doing his bank paperwork. He had asked one of his inmates to get him a six foot long rope. Andy went to his cell for the night with the rope in his hand. Red knew and thought that Andy was going to kill himself. "It was the longrst night i have ever had in Shawshank prison." Red Narrorated. In the morning when they do a head count to make sure that people are still in the prison. Red bolts out of his cell and looks to his left to see if Andy comes out... No Andy. **SPOILER ALERT** They call Dufresne's name several times and he doesn't come out of his cell. The warden and the guards run up to his cell and the screen pans into the room slowly. Andy is gone. He is not in the room at all. The warden gets pissed off and starts throwing rocks at the wall. He threw a rock at the poster of Rita Hayworth. The rock went straight through it and fell hitting the walls and pipes on the way down. The Warden Rips down the poster in anger and there is an endless hole through the wall where Andy had dug. The Alarms go off and dogs run out looknig for him. By that time Andy was in a nice car on his way to a new country to start a new life. He had stolen a bunch of the wardens signatures and account numbers. He took 400,000$ of the wardens money. In the very end Red peroled from jail and find Andy in the country he had ran off to. The Warden kills himself before he gets arrested for killing that man. Andy and Red meet up in the end and they are reunited as friends onoce again.

Personal Opinion: This is my favorite movie. There is nothing wrong with this movie. It was well directed and perfectly written. It was one of those films that i didnt want to end. I wanted it to continue on with their lives after prison. It made me tear up when they were reunited at the end and hugged. It was amazing to see the amount of time Andy had spent in Shawshank prison for a crime he did not commmit. My eyes were glued to the T.V screen the entire time. No movie will ever comapre to this movie. This is my all time FAVORITE movie that has ever been filmed. I felt so close to each character and it felt so real with the acting of each and every character. I have seen this movie at least five times and it gets better everytime. It keeps its amazing value no matter how many times i watch it. If you have not seen this movie go to the store right now and buy it. It is worth it and it will be your favorite movie.
Overall it is the best movie ever made in my opinion and I highly reccomend this movie to everybody. It is really long but it is worth it. You wont want it to end becasue it is so good.

The Titanic:

Summary: The Titanic is a story everybody should know. I shouldnt have to summarize it for you but I will if you hav not seen this film. This was directed and written by James Cameron in 1997. Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet played the biggest roles in this movie. The titanic was huge buzz around england. It was the biggest passenger ship ever built. It was called the Titanic but it was nicknamed "The Ship of Dreams." It departed from england and was arriving at Rose was the main character along with Jack Dawson. Rose was a rich girl that was in the first class of the cabin. Jack was playing poker and the people he was playing with bet their Titanic tickets. Jack flipped over his cards and he had a flush. He won the tickets and ran with his friend to board the Titanic. Jack is a poor third class man with no job. He just wants to live life and take risks. He is wandering the boat after it departs and sees Rose peered at the edge of the boat. He is in love at first sight. He is relaxing on a bench dozing off. Rose comes by him running and crying. She runs to the edge of the boat. You can see in her eyes that she is commited to do something drastic. He clibs over the railing of the back of the ship. She is ready to jump and kill herself. Jack runs up to her and says "I wouldnt do that if i were you." You can tell she is happy to see someone who cares but she acted like she wasn't happy. He explains to her how cold the water would be and how he would have to jump in after her to save her. She agrees to step off the ledge and not kill herself. He grabs her hand while she turns around. She slips of her dress and Jack tries to pull her up. She screams bloody murder and the guards start running to see what is going on. He pulls her over the edge and he lands on top of her. They make love eye contact and the guards come and pull him off of her. Roses family comes out and starts yelling at Jack. Jack has handcuffs on for attempted rape. Rose says it was a mistake and he gets off the hook. Rose and Jack hang out day after day falling more and more in love with eachother. The night of April 14th came around and Jack and Rose were madly in love with eachother. Roses husband sees them and starts chasing after them. They run the the basement of the ship that has luggage and cars. They hide in the car and they end up having sex. They then ran up to the top of the deck and started kissing and cuddling looking up at the stars. The captain and the crew know that there will be potential ice burgs that could mess up the ship. They go full throtle anyway and hope for the best. The two look outs see a huge iceburg taller than the ship sticking up from the below 0 water. They ring the bell for the captain to steer the ship hard right to try and avoid a fatal collision. They inch closer and closer but it is too late. The ships left side gets completely sheered off and water starts rushing into the basement of the ship. The boat fills with water and it starts to sink one end first. It tips completely horizontal to the water. It then breaks in half and then the second half starts to sink. Rose and Jack are on the edge of the boat hanging onto the railing so they dont fall. It sinks and Rose and Jack are in the freezing water with thousands of other freezing people. Rose gets onto a floating door to stay out of the water. Jack holds her hand becasue he is in the water. **SPOILER ALERT** Jack tells her to promise that she will always hang on. They both passout from the cold. When lifeboats come back for them rose blows a whistle to come and get her and jack but when she shakes jack and says his name..he doesnt wake up. She is saved and she leaves her husband. She changes her name to Rose Dawson after Jacks last name. The omvie ends with her dying as a really old woman and she goes to heaven which to her is on the titanic with Jack.

Personal Opinion: This is my second favorite movie behind the Shawshank Redemption. No matter how many times I see this movie or know what is going to happen i always get choked up and shed a tear. The entire movie has amazing acting. Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio are the top actors in ever. You become so close to the characters that you kinda fall in love with rose as well. The ending is so sad and will choke people up. It is a long movie. It is longer than the shawshank redemption which was three hours long but it is three hours of pure heartlifting scenes.

Last but no least, this is an amazing film and I will always have this movie on my top five. It is a love movie but it is not a chick flick at all. I reccomend this movie to everybody who likes to watch a good movie and maybe even shed a tear or two.

Summary: Stand By Me was directed by Rob Reiner and written by Stephen King in 1986. It is about four best friend boys that explore the wilderness. They casue trouble and smoke cigarettes. They have a tree fort where they smoke and play card games like adults. This movie has four main characters named Gordy, Chris, Teddy and Vern. Vern is digging up a jar of pennies he had burried underneath the deck of someones house a while back. When he hears the high school seniors talking about a boy that had just been killed by a train. His dead body was still by the tracks somewhere. So Vern tells they guys about it and they all decide it would be an awesome adventure if they went and found the body. They all told their parents they were sleeping over at one anothers house and then they all met up and set off on their journey. Along the way they get into some tangles. They are following the train tracks until they reach the point where they could find the body. A train is coming and they all get off but Teddy. He mumbles to his friends "ima dodge it." They all say yeah yeah in disbelief and tell him to come on. Teddy doesn't move. The train inches closer and closer. Then Chrtsi sprints up and tackles him off of the tracks. They all start fighting. Then they continue on the tracks. They come to a spot on the tracks where there is a river below them three hundred feet. They set accross the tracks for the other side when they are about half way accross they hear the trains horn and they sprint toward the other side. Vern keeps falling and the train get literally inches to them before they leap off of the bride and drop twenty feet to flat dirt. The train barley misses them. Then they go swimming and get leaches all over them and Gordy gets one on his Man Parts and he passes out when he realizes he was bleeding. **SPOILER ALERT** The kids find the body but when they get there the high school kids are there looknig at the body too. Chris pulls out a gun and holds it to one of the kids. He is too scared to shoot him. They settle their differences and set off home. The kids are shocked at what they have seen. On the long day walk home they didnt say a single word. It was completely silent. They grew up and split there seperate ways. At the end it has captions to say where they did and went in life after tjhey went their seperate ways.

Personal Opinion: Stand by Me is on my top ten favorite films and it always has been. It is a great movie. Every person in the world can sort of relate to this movie. Being young kids and rebellnig against their parents because it is fun and risky. Also we all had those three or more really close friends that do everything together. It is easy to relate to because i used to go on adventures with my friends and swin in ponds and walk on the train tracks. I made forts to hang out in with my friends. The only thing i didnt do that they did was look for a dead body and smoke cigarettes. This is a Classic Stephen King book but a Classic Movie as well. If you have bot seen this movie you need to see it ASAP. You would be missing out on an amazing classical film by not watching this movie.
If i could go back in time to when this movie first came out, i would have seen it in theatre everyday until it came out of VHS. I reccomend this movie to everybody of all ages. I cant get enough of Stand By Me.

HORROR FILMS

The Woman in Black

Summary: The Woman in Black was a film based on Susan Hill's novel. The setting took place in London in the 19th or 20th century. The time was never mentioned although the way of living was obvious to either 19th or 20th. Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) was a London Lawyer going to a remote village where he had to do paperwork to sign over the rights of the house. People were too scared to go with him so they dropped him off at the house and came back later to pick him up. He was given pictures and evidence of the deaths that have occured at the house. During his hours spent at the house alone doing work he experiences weird things occuring. Such as looking out the window and seeing "The Woman in Black." He blinks and when he looks again she is gone. He went out to find her but he found nothing. He left the house and went back to the village where he is sleeping and a house was on fire and a child was "trapped." Arthur ran in the house to get the little girl out. When he was down there he saw her in a corner with a lantern. Lanterns have gas in them to keep them lit obviously. She gave him a evil grin and slammed the lantern on the ground engulfing herself in flames. She stood there and burned to death. The superstition around the town was that whenever somebody saw the woman in black a kid in the village a child would die. The woman in black was the evil demon that forced children to their deaths. He went there a few days and he decided to sleep there for the night to get more work done. Scary things start occuring such as seeing kids outside playing in the mud. Also heard things in an upstairs room that was locked. After coming to some close calls with death; his paper work is completed. He meets his wife Stella Kipps (Sophie Stuckey) and son at the train station to go back home. They are distracted with hugging and kissing *SPOILER ALERT* meanwile the woman in black is in the corner forcing his son to go on the train tracks. As soon as Arthur looks up his son is on the tracks and a train is coming full speed. Arthur sprints onto the tracks and grabs his son. BOOM. Thr train smacks into them. The screen is silent and everything is in slow motion. They are glowing a clearish blue because the film is trying to express soul and paranormal ghosts that we turn into after death. It seems peaceful and relaxed.

Personal Opinion: I was extremely happy with this film and how it was directed. Director James Watkins expressed the story from the start. No questions had to be asked because it was easy to understand what was going on. I dont get scared easily during movies but throughout this movie my eyes were wide open and I had a ball in my throat. I was genually scared. Although it was scary it was more of a jumpy movie. You were watching and out of no where BOOM loud sound fx and instantly something pops up on the screen. It was pretty frightening to say the least. The acting in the beginning of this movie was terrible. I get very critical with acting in movies and this one was awful. Daniel Radcliffe, usually an amazing actor was so bad. He had great acting ability during all eight harry potter movies. He had the only bad acting in the film and it left me shaking my head. Even though I was unhappy with the acting, it was a very scary film that I highly recommend if you are into getting scared. The ending was actually fairly impressive. The silentness made it peaceful yet creepy. It wasnt too much but it wasnt lacking anythintg important. It was a great way to end the movie.
Overall this is a great movie and I suggest this film to everybody in the mood for a good scare.

ACTION FILMS

Tron Legacy

Summary: Tron Legacy was the squeal to the original TRON movie made in 1982 and directed by Steven Lisberger. Jeff Bridges was the star in this one as well as Tron Legacy. Tron Legacy started off with Kevin Flynn "Flynn" telling his son Sam Flynn that he was going to change the world forever and that he had created the perfect system. 20 years later Flynn had not been seen. He was assumed to be dead and Sam grew up without a father. Alan Bradley was Flynn's work partner and he  had received a page from Flynn's old office. Alan told Sam that he wanted Sam to go see who paged him before he did. Sam did as told and he found his dads secret hide out where he had created the perfect system...The Grid. Sam turned on his dads old computer, cracked the passwords and codes when all of the sudden...WOOSH! He was transported onto the grid. He immediately gets captured by programs controlled by Clu. Clu is Flynn but a program that Flynn himself had created so that when Flynn is not on the grid Clu will create the perfect system for him. Sam was put into the Games which is where you fight to the death either with your "disk" which holds all memory you had received on the grid. Or with Speed bikes that release a colorful wall that if you run into it you explode and die. He survived because Tron figured out he was a user and he was pulled from the games before he was killed. Quarra took him and helped him escape Clu and his programs. Quarra is Flynn's Iso that he protects from death, she is the last Iso alive because Clu killed them all. She takes Sam to his fathers hide out way far outside of the grid boundaries. They meet again for the first time in 20 years and everything is good. His father then tells Sam he has been stuck on the grid for 20 years because the portal to go home shut. Sam, Flynn and Quarra rush to go to the portal and they get into battle along the way. On their journy to the portal they had to try their hardest to avoid any conflict. ***SPOILER ALERT*** Sam and Quarra made it to the portal and Flynn and Clu are fighting so that Sam and Quarra can go through the portal without Clu stopping them. Clu ran after them to go through to portal and mess up the real world. Flynn opened his arms really wide and all of the sudden Clu was getting pulled back towards him. It was almost like the force from Starwars (but not). Sam did not want to leave without his dad; unfortunately, he was forced to by his dad because he had to destroy Clu which ultimately will kill him as well. Sam then puts his disk toward the sky so that the portal will take him and Quarra to the real world. As they got sent back Flynn grabbed Clu and squezzed which then blew up the entire creation on the grid. All that was left a blue computer grid. Sam and Quarra were in the real world and it ended by Sam saying "Here, i wanna show you something." They got on his motorcycle and drove away.

Personal Opinion: Tron Legacy was an action packed movie with amazing visual effects. I was highly impressed with how they portrayed "the grid." It was mind blowing to watch them go into another world that Flynn had created. It was awesome thinking of Tron and if it were real today. With improvements in technology, we could be headed for something this amazing. I was slightly disappointed with some of the acting. Garrett Hedlund (Sam Flynn) fit the role; although, his acting on some parts (not much) was very noticeable that it was script read. This means-not into character, he was just saying his script lines out of character. Other than his acting I was pretty happy with his role in the film. I was very content with Jeff Bridges (Kevin Flynn) acting. For the most part he was in character and it made me want to keep watching. Olivia Wilde (Quarra) was fantastic in this movie (as usual) and she fit the part perfectly, and looked good.
          To me a movie keeps an audience more interested if the acting is more realistic. When acting is bad you begin to lose focus. The more realistic the acting is, the better the movie.
          Overall, I highly recommend this movie if you are interested in action films, or Tron itself. It was a very cool/good and exciting. Even though i did not like the ending, you may enjoy it.

Contraband

Summary: Contraband was an incredible movie to watch. This movie was about a group of people smuggling certain things into the states undetected. When Andy (Caleb Jones) and his friend has to drop a package that he is smuggling for Tim Briggs (Giovanni Ribisi) he gets angry because he did not do his job as told. Tim and his gang ram Andy's car and rip them out and pulverized them almost to death. Andy owed Tim a lot of money for messing up his smuggle job and not getting him his money and drugs before. If Andy did not get what he wanted he would kill him. Chris (Mark Wahlberg) used to be a top class smuggler. He quit because he got married to Kate (Kate Beckinsale) and didn't want to risk what they had. Andy is Kate's brother so when andy is told he will be killed, Chris goes to talk to Tim Briggs about what he can do to get his money and to not hurt Andy. Chris then plans to smuggle $15 Million dollars in which he will keep a lot of money and give some to Tim to pay off what Andy owed. During the job Andy left to go get drugs for Sebastian (Ben Foster) because Sebastian is friends with Chris and Tim. Chris does not want to smuggle drugs because it is detectable by drug dogs. So if they were to be searched they would not be able to find anything wrong. So when he finds out he is furious. Chris and his crew collect the money needed. He hides it in the boat behind a huge wall. Sebastian was angry because he wanted cocaine to be smuggled but Chris did not want to smuggle drugs. Sebastian is angry with Chris so calls Andy and convinces him to get the cocaine for him and Tim. Meanwhile Sebastian is watching over Kate while Chris and Andy are gone because Tim is trying to kill them. ***SPOILER ALERT*** We find out that Sebastian is telling Tim to go hurt or scare Kate so that Chris will bring the drugs like he wants eventhough Sebastian is pretending that he does not like Tim and is protecting Kate. Sebastian has a lust for Kate so when she trys to get her things from his house he traps her in. She hides in the bathroom and Sebastian busts open the door and this forces Kate to hit her neck on the side of the counter initially "Killing" her. Chris arrives home safely and gives the drugs and money to Tim as told. When he tries to go find Kate he goes to see Sebastian at his work. Sebastian had wrapped her body in plastic and put her in a hole that was going to be filled with cement. Chris goes and beats Sebastians ass because he couldn't find Kate and for setting him and his family up. He tries calling her and hears her phone ring in the hole. He jumps in and sees her lifeless body wrapped up with cement drying over her. He took her out and called the ambulance. It then showed a close up of her fingers and they twitched. She did NOT die! Sebastian and Tim go to jail and Kate, Chis and Andy survived and were very happy.

Personal Opinion: I felt myself at the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie. It was action packed and it kept me highly interested. I am a huge Mark Whalberg and Kate Beckinsale fan, so to see both of them in the same film I was super excited to watch it. It had a very serious plot that hooked you into the story really fast. It starts off with a death that makes you interested right off the bat. Also the acting in this movie was 100% realistic. I love when movies have great acting. I cannot stand it when a movie has bad acting. You felt so close and so into the movie the entire time. There was not one single moment when i felt bored or distracted. I could watch it three times and still love it. The ending was a shock to me because the audience thought she died but really she was just knocked out. I think they could have ended it a little bit differently but it wasn't too bad. I thought it would have made the viewers leave the theatre thinking "Holy Crap" Kate actually died. Im excited for the DVD version with hopefully a good alternate ending.
Overall this was a fantastic movie that should be watched by action lovers everywhere. I 100% recommend this movie for anybody who likes action and suspensful movies.

Summary: Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" is about world super heros. The Avengers are a team of super heros that are from the Marvel collection comic books. They have made movies based on all of the Marvel super heros within the last four years. Those movies were the introduction to each hero. In this film All of the super heros were teamed up together to stop the world from getting destroyed. The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and Hawkeye were the heros that were gathered together to stop the world from being overcme by aliens controlled by Loki (Thors Evil Brother). He open the portal from the universe to the earth. Millions of aliens came down from the portal and started destorying the whole city (New York). At first the team of heros have tensions with eachother. Most likely becasue they have different powers and thing all think they are better than one another. They fight a lot but nobody ever gets really hurt. They settle differences for the fate of the world. They all work together to destroy Loki and his army of evil aliens. The Hulk smashed everything and Thor shoots lighting at everything. They work really well together. Nothing can defeat them when they are a team. Loki sends these huge alien ships through the portal which destroy every building in its path. The Hulk smashes it and it gets destoryed with one "HULK SMASH!" After hours of fighting the team is worn out and Loki is becoming more and more powerful by sending in more enemies thorugh the portal. The team realizes that they need to close the portal in order to stop Loki's control of the world. The governmet was so desprate to destroy Loki that they send a nuclear missile to New York to kill everybody there. The team realized that they dont need to destroy the city to stop the attack. By then it was to late and the missile was 5 minutes away from the city. **SPOILER ALERT** Iron Man decides that he is right for the job to try and steer the missile into the portal. This would explode every alien ship in space and potentially stop the attack. They know how to close the portal but they need to closeit right as the nuke blows up in the portal. When Iron Man goes through the portal with the missile Black Widow destoryes the beam to the portal. The nuke explodes and destorys everything. Iron Man was floating downward back to earth slowly but the portal was closing fast. He passed out. The potal closed and Iron man slipped thorugh and fell towards the earth. Loki is defeated and everyone is happy.

Personal Opinion: I absolutely loved this movie. It had action throughout the whole thing. I watched all of the superhero movies before this came out so i knew that it was going to be interesting and action packed. I had no problems with this movie. I was fully focused on the movie the entire time. It followed the comic books failry close which is hard to do in a movie. They had all the huge actors in this film which made it a lot more fun to watch. Great actors together equals the best movie ever made involving super heros. I saw this movie twice becasue I couldnt get enough of it. The only problem i have with most action movies involving super heros is how badly the city gets destoryed. It gets completely flattened by explosions and stuff but everyone is perfectly ok. I know its just a movie and all but I cant help it when a building gets demolished and then noone is hurt and nobody seems to care or anything. Then in the next movie it is ok again. Thats just my opinion. Also if i was a citezen and this was happeneing i wouldnt be watching it on tv in New York. id be getting the hell out of there. But its a movie and it was extremely well written and directed.
In the end it was one of the best action films i have ever seen. The ending was fantastic and im pretty sure they set it up for a second movie. I cant wait for that.

Face Off:

Summary: Face off was directed by John Woo. This was about Sean Archer a government agent who for six years has been trying to apprehend terrorist, Caster Troy, who tried to kill him but ended up killing Archer's son instead. When Archer corners Troy, Troy tells Archer that he has planted a bomb that will go off, unless he lets him go but Archer thinks that Troy is bluffing so a fight erupts that leaves Troy comatose. But later when they go through some of his brother, Pollux's things, they discover that Troy was telling the truth. All that they need now is to find out where it is and the only person who knows is Pollux. And the only person that he will talk to about it, is his brother, Caster but unfortunately he is a vegetable. A government official then suggests to Archer that he assume Caster's identity and ask Pollux about the bomb. So she brings him to a doctor who has perfected a method wherein the face of one individual is removed from him and placed on another. Archer agrees. The operation is a success so Archer as Troy goes to the prison where Pollux is being held and successfully gets him to tell him where the bomb is. Meanwhile, Troy who was believed to be comatose awakens and forces the doctor who operated on Archer to place Archer's face on him. After the doctor plants Archers face onto Troys face Troy then kills the doctor. Who is the only doctor who knows how to do this tyoe if sugery. He then goes to the prison as Archer and taunts Archer (Troy) by telling him that he has destroyed all documentation of the operation and eliminated everyone who knew about it. He then takes his brother out and leaves Archer in prison. But Archer somehow manages to escape and is now trying to find someone who will believe and help him, while Troy is plotting something. Archer get out of the prison and lives at Caster Troys house where there are drugs, girls and parties going on. Meanwhile the entire police force things the Archer is reall Troy because the only officers that knew about the Face-off operation were killed by Troy himself. In the end **SPOILER ALERT** after many gun fights and bullet wounds later. Archer tells his wife (in troys body) that it is really him. She believes him and helps him get rid of troy. During a fight between Caster and Archer, Archer grabs a Harpoon gun trying to kill Troy. (Cater and Tory are the same people BTW) and BOOM! Archer shot Troy in the stomach with a harpoon gun. Troy slowly died as Archer felt a thousand pounds lift off of his shoulders because he had been trying to kill him for over ten years for killing his son. They find a bunch of speicial surgons to operste on his face to get him back to normal. At trhe very end of the movie It shows Archer walking as a shadow outside of the window and his wife smiling looking at the frint door waiting to see him again. He opens the door with a smile. He exlpains what happend and he then told his wife that they were going to start taking care of another kid. It was Caster Troys kid that Archer found out was Troys when they switched faces. They are okay with that plan and they live happliy ever after and free from Caster Troys plans to destroy the world.

Personal Opinion: To be honest i loved Face Off. At first i wasn't too excited to watch this film because I absolutley HATE Nicholas Cage with a passion. He is an awful actor and doesn't deserve to have any parts in movies.. Moving on...He was actually pretty good in this movie considering how terrible he is. John Trivolta is good in every movie he plays in. He is an all around great actor. He actually made me think that he was someone else through the entire film. Caster Troy was a sick man and when he was in Archers body John T. really turned from an innocent, loving man into a horny evil mass muderer. It was a movie that everybody needs to see because it is sort of a classic John Trivolta Film. It was an origional idea and the director made it seem legit in so many ways. Switching faces is still sort of impossible today to do so perfectly but this movie made it seem like it was possible. This movie showed love, action, drama, mystery and comedy. It fits into every category of films. I couldn't keep my eyes off when i started to watch this movie.
I reccomend this movie to everyone no matter what age. It is a classic movie and it is necessary for everybody to watch at some point in their lives.
